Update from our Ukrainian trustee Ivan Bespalov
Dear Tony and Pat,
I am so glad to hear that Natasha and the kids are taken care of. Thank you for making all these arrangements for them.
We are still in Kyiv. Aleksey, the older boy from the Genesis House, is staying with us in our apartment. We think it is best for him for now. We all are quite busy delivering food and medicine to the elderly people in our district. I prepare a small devotion in the morning and lead a prayer meeting in the evening for the Holy Trinity Church every day online, even though the congregation is scattered across the country and overseas now. Also I stream a sermon to them on Sunday morning.
Our younger son Vanya (18) signed up as a nurse at the intensive care hospital nearby as they prepare to take in the wounded. Misha (the older son) and Katya (the daughter in law) in the Western Ukraine helping the refugees.
The Lord is gracious to us and He keeps us safe.
So far, He graciously spared Kyiv from the massive destruction, even though the Russian troops have almost encircled Kyiv for almost a week now.
With kindest regards,
Ivan, Lucia, Vanya and Alexey!
